Timothy Van Cleave believes his job is to help every student send music from their mind into the universe. Each lesson builds on the fundamentals of music, explores its emotional power, and gives students a chance to share their creative energy. The experience goes home with them along with the confidence to recreate it on their own.

Timothy holds a Doctorate of Arts from Ball State University and has performed alongside orchestras, jazz ensembles, and singer-songwriters in Vancouver, British Columbia and Portland, Oregon. As a performer and recording artist he has appeared on recordings with the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra and as Cal Tjader in Tim Burton’s film “Big Eyes.”

Whether a student is playing at a recital, performing for friends and family, jamming with peers, or producing their own tracks, Timothy builds the skills and confidence to make it happen.
