Tim Kluge
Woodworking Instructor
I have always enjoyed making things. I like to dabble in many different media, but my main passion and focus is Woodturning. Most often, I enjoy making things that are simple and functional. However, sometimes I like to get more creative and push the limits of my skills. These three pieces are all the results of such endeavors.
Tim is a high school substitute teacher based in Hillsboro, Oregon who has been
making things all his life. He has taught woodworking for nearly 10 years, first at the
Woodcraft store in Tigard, and then at the Mirabella retirement community in Portland,
where he developed and taught a brand-new slate of classes to help the residents
of Mirabella attain the skills and confidence to take advantage of their in-house
woodshop. He most enjoys creating utilitarian pieces that are meant to be held and
used and loved, but he also loves to explore new and different ways to create artistic
pieces. He is very excited to bring his passions for woodworking and teaching together at MAC to help our community find access to the skills that have brought him so much joy in life.
