Marcy Baker

Mixed Media Instructor

Born and raised in central New York, Marcy Baker graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree from Syracuse University in 1982. Her paintings, monotypes, and collages have been exhibited in numerous venues nationally and her work is held in the collections of Hallmark and Kansas Wesleyan University.

Baker has been a printmaking instructor at Multnomah Arts Center since 2005. Her adult Monotype and Collage class highlights the versatility of the monotype process and is appropriate for all skill levels. In the past she has worked with children at the Arts Center, as well as with Regional Arts and Culture Council’s SUN program and Print Art Northwest’s Printmaking in the Schools program. She also offers printmaking and collage workshops in her private studio.

Baker’s work is shown at Mary Lou Zeek Gallery in Salem, Portland Art Museum Rental Sales Gallery, and White Bird Gallery in Cannon Beach. She is an artist member of Print Arts Northwest and is on the Board of Art In The Pearl Fine Arts & Crafts Festival; both are in Portland.
