Jack Buddeke

Piano & Guitar Instructor

Jack Buddeke began teaching at MAC in 2005. He has a BA in Jazz Studies, Piano Performance and Jazz Guitar Performance, from Portland State University. He is the winner of the 2003 Mel Brown Award.

Jack has composed and arranged music for PSU’s Big Band and numerous small ensembles. He is also the 1st chair piano in the Portland State University Big Band, has accompanied the PSU Jazz Choir, and has taught within a Capstone Jazz Studies program at Kenton Elementary.

Jack is a recording artist with numerous album credits. He also frequently performs live for MAC-related events and elsewhere.

With 20 years of experience as a golf professional, and as an athletics enthusiast, Jack continues his education in learning styles that applies to all teaching endeavors.

Jack instructs all styles of guitar and piano and has the ability to teach composition, theory, and use of technology. Additionally, Jack can teach beginning mandolin and ukulele.
