A long time writer and teacher, Rob lives in Portland, OR with his wife, Beverly Stein. Originally from Philadelphia, he has finally fully acclimated to life in the Great Northwest. He still roots for the Phillies, though. Rob published, the autobiographical novel, “Fancypants” in 2008. It straddles the precarious line between fiction and memoir. His short prose works have appeared in numerous publications, including: Drash, Tikkun, Philadelphia Stories, Still Crazy, and Portland Magazine. One of his short stories is currently nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Since his retirement from high school and college teaching he has facilitated writing workshops for Write Around Portland (some at Inverness Jail) and at Havurah Shalom. Rob is currently working on a collection of short memoir pieces.
