Visual Arts – Printmaking
Debbie studied printmaking, painting and wildlife biology at OSU where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After earning her degree, she went on to complete a two year apprenticeship with Master Printmaker Mark Mahaffey and became an artist member of the Northwest Print Council. As a wildlife artist, her art is a celebration of the wonders of the natural world and the creatures that inhabit it. “I love all the different textures, color and variety that can be found in nature, and printmaking (with all its variety) allows me to depict it in a unique way.” Debbie teaches printmaking because she wants to educate the public on what an original print is and how this form of art makes owning an original a possibility for everyone.
