Working for clean rivers
Multnomah Arts Center Lower Parking Lot Stormwater Project
The Bureau of Environmental Services is working with Portland Parks & Recreation to manage stormwater that flows from the lower parking lot, into stormwater pipes and then to Tryon Creek. Urban runoff carries pollutants to the creek and high runoff volume and velocities erode stream banks. The facilities will collect runoff and allow pollutants to settle out before the water enters the creek. The designs are 90% complete. The project will be constructed in summer 2013.
